Tizen news roundup: Samsung’s NX300M camera runs on Tizen with phones and TV to follow, Nokia signs on for maps

If you’re curious to get your hands on a Tizen-powered device, you might be surprised to learn that more than one is already available. At this year’s Tizen Developer Summit in Seoul, Samsung announced that its NX300M smart camera is running a modified build of the company’s Tizen software.

Announced last month, the NX300M is a refresh of Samsung’s NX300 mirrorless camera, with a 3.31-inch AMOLED touch screen capable of rotating 180 degrees. It features the same 20.3-megapixel APS-C sensor as the original, along with dual-channel Wi-Fi with SmartShare and NFC support. And on top of that, it apparently runs Tizen.

I haven’t gotten my hands on the camera yet, so I can’t say how the software has been modified to make it more camera-friendly, but this is the second Tizen device we’ve seen since the developer tablets released last month.
