Report: Apple working on curved screens, pressure-sensitive touch sensors for future iPhones

We’ve already heard that Apple(s aapl) is looking to make a bigger iPhone, but here are two new interesting rumors to throw into the mix: curved glass screens and pressure-sensitive touch sensors. That’s according to Bloomberg, which reportedly spoke with someone familiar with Apple’s plans.

According to the report, Apple is working on two new sizes for the iPhone – 4.7 inches and 5.5 inches. That’s a little more believable than the 6-inch iPhone we heard about last month, but whether Apple is planning to venture into full-on “phablet” territory remains to be seen. More interesting is the mention of a curved glass screen. It doesn’t sound like Apple is planning to make a fully curved iPhone, like the Samsung Galaxy Round or the LG G Flex. Instead, the glass is said to “curve downward at the edges,” which makes it sound more like a stylistic decision…
