Sony details its Android KitKat upgrade plans

Unlike some manufacturers, Sony has a relatively good track record of updating it devices to the latest version of Android(s goog). It appears that Android 4.4 (KitKat) will be no exception, and Sony has taken to its blog to detail which devices can expect to see an update.

First up, though, is Android 4.3 (Jelly Bean). Sony still needs to upgrade a number of devices to the previous version of Google’s mobile OS, and that will start next month. Devices getting the update include the Xperia Z, Xperia ZL, Xperia ZR, Xperia Tablet Z, Xperia SP, Xperia Z Ultra, and Xperia Z1. On top of that, the Xperia T, Xperia TX and Xperia V will skip updates to Android 4.2 and go straight to Android 4.3.
