Anonymous Was Here Biatch! Hacker Group Defaces Singaporean Leader’s Site

After Singaporean Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong vowed to track down Anonymous members, the hacktivist network responded by defacing the leader’s website on Thursday and openly taunting him.

Alongside images of Guy Fawkes-clad figures, the group posted messages that included: “It’s great to be Singaporean today” and “ANONYMOUS SG WAS HERE BIATCH” on a section of the Prime Minister’s official website, according to a report published by AFP.  The hacked portion of the website was later taken offline.

In a video apparently posted by Anonymous members last week on Youtube, the group said it would retaliate against Singapore’s new Internet licensing framework policy, which aims to firm up control over news sites operating in the tightly governed city-state. The group promised to “wage war” against Singapore if officials refused to scrap the new law.
